Education and Research

Our Physiotherapists receive regular in-house training and professional courses to upgrade our clinical knowledge and skills.  SGH Physiotherapy Department supports SingHealth’s identity as an Academic Medical Center by offering a rich variety of structured clinical observation / attachment opportunities for local and international Physiotherapy students and practicing clinicians.  In conjunction with SGH Post-Graduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI), we conduct a wide range of specialised skills-training workshops that cater to both local and regional participants.  Please refer to PGHAI training calendar for details.

 

To improve clinical standard, outcome and quality, our Physiotherapists do and collaborate in inter-disciplinary research and improvement projects across the spectrum of specialties in SGH.  We obtain grants to fund our research endeavours.  Our researchers present and share their findings at local and international conferences.  We conduct 15-20 ongoing projects and publish more than 10 papers annually.
