Telehealth @ SWIFT Care Clinic

The SGH-Wide Initiative For Telehealth, or SWIFT Care Clinic is an initiative designed to provide prompt, high-quality medical care for non-emergency conditions. This service, in collaboration with Minmed Group, offers 24/7 access to medical care via telehealth, reducing wait time. 

What is SWIFT Care Clinic

Championed by SGH's Emergency Department, the telehealth service connects patients with qualified doctors through secure video consultations. SWIFT Care Clinic provides a convenient and efficient alternative to traditional in-person visits.

What are The Features of SWIFT Care Clinic

24/7 Availability

The telemedicine service is available round-the-clock, allowing patients to access medical care at any time of day or night. This ensures that help is always at hand, no matter the hour.

Swift Medication Delivery

Following the consultation, medications are delivered directly to the patient's home in Singapore within three hours. This quick turnaround ensures that patients can begin their treatment promptly.

Flat Fee Structure

The service operates on a simple flat fee basis, making it easy for patients to understand and manage the costs. 

Fees:

  • Regular Hours (9:00 am to 8:59 pm): $54.50

  • Night Hours (9:00 pm to 8:59 am): $87.20

These prices include GST and cover acute medications for up to one week.

Please note that charges may differ for payments made with private insurance. 

When Should I Visit SWIFT Care Clinic

Services at SWIFT Care Clinic are ideal for non-emergency medical conditions that can be effectively managed through telehealth.

Patients of the following conditions will not be accepted into SWIFT Care Clinic:
  • Serious Emergencies:
    • Life-threatening conditions
    • Severe abdominal pain
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Symptoms resembling a stroke
    • Chest pain
    • Pregnancy-related conditions
  • Chronic conditions: Initial visit for a chronic illness, or existing chronic diseases that are not well-managed.
  • Medical procedures: Conditions requiring medical procedures such as dressing changes, stitches or abscess drainage.
  • Condition that are not improving: Multiple visits for the same condition with no improvement.

What Happens When I Visit SWIFT Care Clinic

Upon entering the Emergency Department, patients may independently proceed to the specified SWIFT Care counters as the default procedure, with the alternative option being to seek assistance through nurse triage.

Following this, patients will be directed to the clinic within the department for their assisted video consultation with a Minmed doctor, where they will undergo a comprehensive assessment, receive a diagnosis, and be provided with a treatment plan. 

After the consultation, patients will proceed to make payment and arrange for medication delivery, ensuring a seamless and efficient process from start to finish.
