13 - 16 December 2021
The trans and gender diverse community consists of individuals that may fall under the care of medical professionals. Maximising service accessibility and quality requires an understanding of such individuals' unique language, culture and needs. Therefore, working with trans and gender diverse persons often employs a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Speech Therapists (STs) are a part of the MDT, who work with trans and gender diverse persons in the areas of voice and communication. The 4 half-day course covers detailed information on the role of the ST and key assessment and management considerations in working holistically with the trans and gender diverse community.
