Management of Hepatitis C – An Update

Hepatitis C virus causes liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. This virus is transmitted through blood-borne route.
Hepatitis C can be treated with oral medications with 8 to 12 weeks of medications. With successful treatment regimens available, World Health Organization (WHO) is aiming for elimination of viral hepatitis by 2030.
Singapore has benefitted considerably with reduced cost of treatment available.
