We are all familiar with the C-word. In 2011, a similar pandemic was predicted in an American thriller called "Contagion", in which the struggles of containing the spread of a virus pandemic transmitted by respiratory droplets and fomites and finding a vaccine were portrayed. In March 2020, this became the most viewed HBO film for two weeks straight.
COVID-19 has created many challenges for healthcare services but has also highlighted the value of digital health in patient care, management and safety. This global crisis has been a test for the maturity of digital health technologies. Digital solutions which had poor market penetration are becoming today's new standard. Is digital health only a fad during COVID-19 or will it become a "Digital Health Contagion" in a post-COVID world? In this presentation, we will explore the latest digital health trends as we enter the "new normal".
