Treating Eating Disorders: The SGH Experience is a compilation of experiences by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, medical social workers, art therapist, nurse clinician, physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
Since 2003 when the first eating disorder patients were seen in SGH until today, the treatment of eating disorders requires dedication and perseverance. Written by these practitioners in their own style, each chapter is an intimate and unique glimpse into the complicated treatment profile of eating disorders in Singapore. Besides introducing the multidisciplinary approach used in SGH, this book also serves as a useful reference to anyone who is looking for more information about this challenging mental health issue.
