The Department of Psychology at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) was formed in 2018 to meet the psychological, neuropsychological, and emotional needs of patients in SGH.
Our team of psychologists provide psychotherapy services to help patients develop deeper personal insights and to make meaningful changes for a more fulfilling life. With psychological safety as our cornerstone, we aim to guide patients to learn coping skills to improve management of their mental health and navigate through life challenges.
Our Neuropsychology Unit provides neuropsychological assessments and interventions for patients with thinking concerns. We specialise in the relationship between the brain and behaviours in adults and older adults. Our unit also offers cognitive training as well as psychological management of headaches and sleep disorders.
You may obtain a referral from your doctors at the polyclinic or general practitioner (GP) to see one of the medical specialties at SGH. They can refer you to our psychologists at SGH.
Therapy is a non-pharmacological approach to mental health issues. Our care team practices evidence-based psychotherapy approaches. We support the inpatient and outpatient settings and provide individual and group services.
