Erlotinib is a targeted medicine that is used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR mutations. It is also used in combination with gemcitabine for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
Avoid grapefruit or its juice while on Erlotinib.
It is a tablet to be taken by mouth with a full glass of water at the same time every day. It should be taken on an empty stomach i.e. 1 hour before or 2 hours after food.
If you miss a dose of Erlotinib, take it as soon as you can if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If more than 12 hours have passed, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual dosing time. Do not double dose.
If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
Do not break or crush the tablet.
