Ultraformer III High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a medical ultrasound used for non-surgical lifting of the face and tightening of the skin. It heats the skin, deeper tissues, and the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System), stimulating existing collagen fibres to thicken and shorten thereby bringing about an overall tightening and lifting effect. It can also disrupt fat cells to stimulate reduction of fat in the treated areas.
This treatment is effective for:• Smoothening of wrinkles on the forehead and eyes• Improvement of marionette lines and deep nasolabial folds• Tightening of saggy and loose skin at the cheek, lower face and neck• Improvement of double chins• Reduce stubborn fat deposits at the arms, tummy, hips, thighs etc.
This non-surgical and minimally-invasive treatment is suitable for all age groups and gives long-lasting results. Its effects take several weeks to months to be observed as the skin is restructured over time. This treatment can be repeated from 12 months onwards.
The Ultraformer III HIFU is generally a comfortable procedure, although some patients may experience mild ache along bony areas such as the jawline. The treatment will take approximately 1 hour on average.
There is minimal downtime from this treatment. Your skin may appear slightly flushed immediately afterwards but any redness usually subsides within a few hours. There may be mild swelling of the treated areas which settles after several days.
The Ultraformer III HIFU is generally a very safe and well-tolerated procedure. The commonest side effects are:• Mild redness and swelling• Temporary bruising• Temporary numbness
