Dr Tan Yi Hua received his medical degree from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2006, and obtained his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2009 from NUS as well as Master of Medicine in Paediatric Medicine from NUS and Membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2013.
As the pioneer batch of our National Residency program, he completed his Senior Residency training in Paediatric Medicine at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. During his residency years, he was the Chief Resident for Paediatric Medicine, SingHealth Residency from 2014 to 2016. He obtained his specialist accreditations and went on to subspecialise in Paediatric Pulmonology, formally joining Respiratory Medicine Service in 2017.
Dr Tan is actively involved in the undergraduate and postgraduate paediatric medicine education. As a Clinical Core Faculty Member for SingHealth Pediatrics Residency Program, he strongly believes in being well grounded in clinical education, especially for the young doctors; and continual evaluation of the healthcare system to provide optimal patient care. His clinical research interests are in pediatric pulmonology and sleep-related disorders.
