Dr Lim graduated from Monash School of Medicine, Australia and subsequently completed his Anaesthesiology training at Singhealth group of healthcare institutions. He later went on to subspecialise in Pain Medicine and is familiar with managing chronic pain conditions including chronic back/neck pain, spinal stenosis, facet/sacroiliac joint dysfunction, chronic knee pain/osteoarthritis through medications and interventional procedures. Dr Lim is familiar and performs regular procedures including epidural steroid injections, intra-articular injections and radiofrequency ablation to reduce transmission of pain.
Dr Lim is a strong proponent of multi-disciplinary co-management of chronic pain and works closely with various disciplines such as Orthopaedic Surgeons, Rehabilitative Medicine, Rheumatologist, Neurologist, Physiotherapists and Acupuncturists to provide the optimal outcomes for various pain conditions.
Besides clinical work, Dr Lim is involved in medical education and research. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Clinical Lecturer at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Clinical Teacher at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He also assists Division of Graduate Medical Studies, NUS, as a tutor for Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) Part B course.
