After graduating from the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, she did her radiology residency in Singapore with an emphasis on neuroradiology and head and neck imaging. She visited the University Hospital in Frankfurt and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania to supplement her training. She furthered her specialist training in head and neck imaging at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, a Harvard Medical School hospital, under the MOH Health Manpower Development Plan Award.
Driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to her field, Dr. Kheok remains committed to continuous learning and collaboration. Her current research interests are in multidisciplinary collaborations to develop deep learning models in enhancing patient care, to explore the potential of imaging science in uncovering previously undetected diseases, and to predict difficult surgeries.
In her role as an educator, she views the opportunities to share her knowledge as a privilege, as she gives conference lectures, resident and medical school student teachings. She is committed to the development of an excellent head and neck radiology unit with the collective efforts of the team. She also oversees the MRI service in the division, which is one of the busiest in the nation, together with a team of dedicated and highly skilled radiographers.
