Dr Kam is a consultant with the department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Singapore General Hospital. She graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (National University in Singapore) where she was awarded the Class of 1975 Book Prize and attained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh). She completed junior residency in Internal Medicine and senior residency in Respiratory Medicine under the Singhealth residency program.
Her clinical and research interests are in diffuse parenchymal lung diseases, specifically with regards to interstitial lung diseases, granulomatous lung diseases and orphan lung diseases. She also has interests in pulmonary genetics, lung transplantation, pulmonary complications affecting transplant recipients and immunocompromised hosts
