I graduated with Bachelor of Science (Hons) (major in chemistry and minor in life sciences) in 2010. As I aspired to serve in the Healthcare sector, I pursued my Doctor of Medicine in Duke-NUS thereafter, graduating in 2014. During medical school and as a junior doctor, I was drawn to work with oncology patients – particularly head and neck cancer patients. As such I embarked upon the Singhealth Otolaryngology Residency Programme from 2017 – 2022, with special interest in head and neck cancer work.
My other passion is in serving the community. Through the years I have worked with Youth-at-risk, mentored youth to do service-learning programmes, gone on community development programmes in rural China and Sri Lanka, served on various medical mission trips with local medical schools and other organizations. I aspire to be able to continue to do so, to give back to the underprivileged community both locally and internationally. In my free time, I enjoy sports such as swimming, running and trekking.
