Profile

Assoc Prof Yeo Cheo Lian, an accredited specialist in the care of newborns, is Senior Consultant Paediatrician and immediate past Head of Department for the Department of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine. 
She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Associate Professor with the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore and visiting Senior Consultant to the Department of Child Development, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital.

She sees newborns and children with health, developmental and behavioural problems. Dr Yeo has wide experience in the care of preterm infants and follow-up management of infants. A strong advocate of family and patient centered care, Dr Yeo introduced the service of virtual visitation to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit in Singapore General Hospital.

Education

Dr Yeo Cheo Lian graduated from the University of Singapore in 1982 and obtained her M.Med (Paediatrics) in 1988, admitted as Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1993.

She received her training in Neonatology and Developmental Paediatrics at The Mater Mother’s Hospital, Brisbane, Australia and The State Child Health and Development Centre, Perth, Australia respectively in 1991.
