Dr Selene Tan is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Anaesthesiology, Singapore General Hospital. She is a Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Anaesthesiologist by training.
Dr Tan graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2009. She completed her residency with the NUHS Anaesthesiology Residency Programme in 2016, obtaining her Master of Medicine, Anaesthesiology in 2016. She was also admitted as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2016.
She subsequently completed her Fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Anaesthesia at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney in 2019.
Apart from Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Anaesthesiology, Dr Tan is also an active and experienced provider of perioperative care for Surgical Oncology patients.
In addition to clinical work, she has diverse interests and is actively involved in committee work, workplace mentoring initiatives and undergraduate teaching at the DUKE-NUS Medical School. She is also a Medical Illustrator. Her works have been commissioned by the department for various projects, such as education initiatives, innovation/quality improvement projects and as a digital communication tool.
