The Centre for Hearing and Ear Implants is committed to provide holistic care and support for more than 2,300 children and adults suffering from hearing disorders every year. The Centre also aims to help them and their families.
A first-of-its-kind in the Asia-Pacific region, the SGH Centre for Hearing and Ear Implants has been established to meet the needs of people suffering from varying types of hearing disorders. To facilitate this, the Centre has introduced the Listen and Talk Programme. Services within this programme include audiological and auditory-verbal therapy services as well as medical interventions, such as cochlear implantation. Through this programme, the Centre aims to improve the quality of life of hearing-impaired individuals as envisioned in the mission statement.
