Telemedicine being used more widely amid pandemic

25 July 2020 - The use of telemedicine has received more acceptance as more patients are willing to consult their doctors over video calls instead of in person. In June, CGH Rehabilitative Services launched this for services geriatric occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy. Prof Lee Chien Earn, Dy Group CEO (Regional Health System) also shared that SingHealth has been ramping up existing telemedicine services and introducing new ones to ensure patients continue to receive the necessary care without having to make frequent trips to the hospitals during the pandemic.
