Mainstream medical practitioners have been paying more attention to the use of both Western and Chinese Medicine. Doctors offering such services in the hospital also hold a qualification as a family physician, which clear doubts on the use of acupuncture in treatments. Dr Richard Tan, Principal Resident Physician and Acupuncturist, Department of Family Medicine, SKH, explained that the main use of acupuncture is to complement Western Medicine treatment.
